Check Out

REMEMBER: ALWAYS watch the screen when checking out to ensure that you are checking out to the correct Patron, that there are no error or status messages, and that you pay attention to each due date.

1.  Click on Manage Patron Services under the Fulfillment tab.

2.  In the search bar, type or scan in the patron’s ID number and press Go.

3.  In the Scan Item Barcode bar type or scan in the item’s bar code and press OK.  After you do this, the item’s information will appear in the Loan Display area. Pay attention to the date due for each item.

4.  Turn over the item.  Place a label cover over the red square on the DATE DUE sticker.  If the item is a Reserve Item, but does not have a security device affixed to the back of the item, place the Date Due sticker onto the back of the item where the red square would be.  As you’re doing this tell the patron what his or her due date is and stamp the label cover.
