Database Help & Tutorials: Downloading ebooks to Your Device

Note: Before downloading Ebook Central ebooks to your computer or mobile device, you will need to create an Ebook Central account. You can do this either by clicking the Sign In link of the upper right corner of the Ebook Central page, then clicking the Join Ebook Central option, or you can follow the prompt to create an account when choosing the Full Download option for a specific ebook.

If you previously had an ebrary account, you do not need to create a new account for Ebook Central.

• To begin, navigate to Allen Memorial Library's homepage using a mobile browser, such as Safari or Chrome. From there, use any of the Ebook Central links, such as the one on the Databases page, to navigate to VCSU's ebrary site. If you are accessing from off campus, you will be prompted to log in to Off Campus Access.
• Once on Ebook Central, find the book you would like to read and choose Full Download. You should then see the following screen:

• If you have not already installed the Bluefire Reader app, do so at this time.
• Before downloading your first Ebook Central ebook to Bluefire Reader, you will be asked to verify your app with a free Adobe ID. This is a one-time process that will not be required for future downloads.

• Click the Download Your Book button. This will automatically take you to Bluefire Reader, will the book will be downloaded and available for offline reading.
