Mission is to empower organizations to make their web content accessible to people with disabilities. They have many great tools available for campuses to use in implementation and evaluation, as well as simulations.

National Center on Disability and Access to Education

VCSU has used their GOALS benchmarking tool to establish existing status, policies, and direction toward implementation planning and resources needed. “Improving web accessibility in higher education through system-wide reform”

Association on Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD)

While AHEAD deals more specifically with educational accommodations for disabilities, good information can be found on their website.

Strategies, standards, and supporting resources to help you make the Web more accessible to people with disabilities.

The W3C mission is to lead the World Wide Web to its full potential by developing protocols and guidelines that ensure the long-term growth of the Web. This website discusses the important aspects of this mission.
