Use visualization to teach Chaucer / Curriculum ReviewAn activity that uses visualization to teach students in grades 9–12 about The Canterbury Tales, by Chaucer, is provided. The students are divided into pairs and assigned specific lines from the work. After they have read and discussed the meaning of the lines, they produce visual representations of the pilgrims on large sheets of paper using markers and crayons. To apply what they have learned, they use heroic couplets to describe people seen in contemporary society.
