VSCU vs UJ Reading Challenges Information Hub
The VCSU vs UJ All Campus Winter Reading Challenge will run from December 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025. Students, Faculty, and Staff are all invited to participate. In fact, we encourage it!
The rules for the Reading Challenge are pretty simple!
Graphic novels, eBooks, Audiobooks, and physical books all qualify for the challenge. Picture books do NOT count, but children's chapter books are fine!
Each book counts as 1 point, but if you read books using Libby, that's 2 points. New to Libby? Visit our Libby Help guide to get started!
Once you finish a book, you need to fill out the submission form for your book to count towards our total. The only required fields are your name, your campus, the title & author of the book, and whether you used Libby. There is an optional portion of the form where you can review the book and share your thoughts!
The only people who will see your name in connection with your book submissions are Hannah from VCSU and Amanda from UJ. We anonymize the submissions before sharing people's read books and reviews. There is absolutely no shame or judgement from us about what you like to read, so please submit your steamy romance novels, your incredibly niche nerdy picks, or any other "guilty pleasure" reads!
The campus with the most books read by the end of the contest will win bragging rights! At VCSU, we're also going to be giving certificates to the faculty member, staff member, and student who read the most throughout the contest.
