Use the following resources to locate statistics about your future occupation or desired field.

Use the Occupational Outlook Handbook from the Bureau of Labor Statistics to find:
1) Begin on the Occupational Outlook Handbook home page and use the search box to search for your career. Link to the Occupational Outlook Handbook homepage
2) On the results page, choose the result that most closely matches your career and includes the words "Occupational Outlook Handbook" in the title. It should look something like the example below.
3) On the Occupational Outlook Handbook page for your career, you will immediately see education and salary information in the Quick Facts box at the top of the page. Use the tabs along the top of the summary page to get more detailed information about pay, education, and job outlooks.
Use O*NET to find:
1) Use the Occupation Quick Search box on the O*Net home page to search for your career. Link to the O*NET homepage.
2) If your search brings up multiple results, choose your career from the list.
3) From the main page of results for your job, choose the details tab.
4) Scroll down on the details tab to find the technology skills and tools used tabs. These two sections will give you information about technology requirements for your career of choice.
