Renew

NOTE: The system allows most items one renewal.  If the patron would like to renew an item for longer, they must bring the item to the information desk, and a staff member can renew it for them.  Please explain this to the patron if a staff member is unavailable.

1.  Click on Manage Patron Services under the Fulfillment tab.

2.     Type name in search box and select from below or click Select from List and press Go to navigate to the patron's account

3.     Find the item you wish to renew under All Loans and click on Change Due Date

4.     From the pop-up select new due date and click Change Due Date

 

ILL Renewals

Help the patron request an ILL renewal one of two ways:

  1. Leave a note for the Interlibrary Loan Person and she/he’ll request a renewal.  Make sure to include the patron’s name, ID number, and title of the item(s).
  2. Go into his/her account on Primo

a.  Click on the My Account tab
b.  Log in using the patron’s NDUS ID and password OR Library card number and last name
c.  Click one the ILL Requests tab
d.  Click Renew ILL
e.  Log out

Note: Renewals are granted at the discretion of the lending library, NOT VCSU, so they won’t always go through.  Watch your account for a week and if it isn’t renewed by then, return the item.
